The applications for the 2012 violin competition are closed. In February, the DVDs of the candidates will be screened by an international jury. The applications will be examined by the Competition’s organisers and the programme will be examined by an Artistic Committee specially designated for this purpose. No more changes can be made to the programme, except where required by the Artistic Committee. Candidates will be informed individually of the results of this selection process by 15 March 2012 at the latest.
Using their login and password, candidates can still consult and print their application form.
The 2012 Violin Competition will mark the 75th anniversary of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, established in 1937 under the name of the renowned Belgian violinist Eugène Ysaÿe.
